Andrei Kossoroukov, Visiphor Corporation
Andrei Kossoroukov is a Senior
Technology Architect at Visiphor Corporation. Andrei is an IT
industry veteran, who wrote his first computer program in 1974. He
developed algorithms for artificial intelligence systems, created
solutions for financial industry, developed e-business systems for
real estate companies. He is an author of many dozens of
publications, including books on C++ and Microsoft SQL Server.
With Visiphor, Andrei provides
integration solutions for a variety of verticals, primarily, for law
enforcement and healthcare. His current interests include
integration of software-intensive systems, managing metadata, and

Ben Skelton, Habanero
As Habañero's Director, User Experience, Ben Skelton manages both the user experience practice and team and provides UE leadership for all projects. He has extensive knowledge and experience in corporate visioning and strategy, information and interaction design, user interface design, and usability engineering. An advocate of ‘unselfish’ design, Ben believes that good user interface design is not about the designer, but the person who ultimately interacts with the design: the user. Ben’s primary goal for all projects is to deliver real business value to clients and deepen their relationships with customers.
In addition to client work, Ben teaches a two-day seminar entitled “Designing a Better Web User Experience” for the Software Productivity Centre and has taught students from Accenture, Creo, IBM, ICBC, and Sierra Systems, among others. He is a co-founder of the Vancouver User Experience Group (VanUE) and has presented to numerous groups including the International Internet Marketing Association, COMDEX, and the Calgary Portal User’s Group. In his spare time, Ben is an avid air miles collector, travelling around the world and sampling libations as he goes, and enjoys watching bad movies.

Brian Edwards, Habanero
As Collaboration Practice Leader, Brian Edwards oversees the delivery and
marketing and sales of all collaboration projects including portals, content
management solutions, business process automations, and MS Office solutions. He
also investigates industry trends in collaboration, knowledge sharing, and
business productivity; tunes Habañero’s processes around information
worker and collaboration solutions; and ensures clients are up-to-date on
industry trends, technology changes, and business options. With Habañero since
2000 and recognized as an MS SharePoint expert, Brian aims to position Habañero
as a world leader in building knowledge management and productivity portals on
Microsoft's platforms.
Brian was appointed to Microsoft's Partner Advisory Council
for Collaboration and Portals in 2005. He regularly writes and presents on
improving collaboration practices and information worker productivity. Prior to
working at Habañero, Brian ran the intranet for a Fortune 500 US bank. He
currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Boca Del Lupo Theatre Group,
which provides innovative theatre experiences in the Vancouver area and abroad.
Besides being a technology geek, Brian enjoys running, hip hop, and playing

Dana Epp, Scorpion Software Corp.
Dana Epp researches software security and sets the vision in the
convergence of information security principles and practices with
digital information asset protection for business. As a computer
security software architect, Mr. Epp has spent the last 15 years
focusing on computer programming with a particular emphasis on security
engineering to offer a safer computing environment for business.
Mr.
Epp has been an instructor in the Computer Information Systems
department at the University College of the Fraser Valley and British
Columbia Institute of Technology, teaching students about computer
programming and information security. He has brought to market various
computer security products including secure operating systems,
firewalls, VPNs, authentication devices and intrusion prevention
systems (IPS). His latest research has been on security analytics for
Microsoft-based operating systems, focusing on getting relevant
security intelligence information to small businesses.
Mr. Epp
has been twice awarded (1999 and 2000) the Community Spirit Award for
Business in recognition of his ongoing initiatives in promoting high
technology industries in his community, and won the 2001 Chamber of
Commerce “Young Entrepreneur of the Year” award. Mr. Epp is the author
of “Computer Security Concepts: Managing Business Threats in a Wired
World”, a book written to explain at an executive level how to handle
the threats of online risk as companies move to the new digital
economy.

David Lowe is Senior Product Manager for Windows Server with Microsoft Corporation. In this role, he is responsible for planning the worldwide
launch and marketing activities for the next major version of Windows Server,
code-named “Longhorn”. David has been with Microsoft since 2001, and in this
time he has also been Senior Product Manager for Security and IT Professional
portfolios with Microsoft Learning.
Prior to joining Microsoft, David was Senior Lecturer in Internet Technologies at the Centre for Advanced Technology Training in Dublin Ireland,where he specialized in Web development and XML. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University College Dublin,
